Enabling Better Logistics Experiences with Data — An Example

July 2020: Just a few weeks ago, when dealing with a new client and a new route, we learned about the client’s previous hiccups.

Due to the trucks consistently being overloaded by third parties without compliance, they had to incur long delays at weighing checkpoints and pay a huge amount of fines. This resulted in a terrible user experience.

Our operations and engineering team at Loop Freight were quick to address this problem. Within 48 hours of onboarding, we were able to map out all areas of weighing stations and toll booths across Bangladesh onto our platform and tested out the beta feature. Now, every time a client books on our platform, and if the route falls under a specific point of interest, our systems generate an alert that goes all the way from the client, dispatch to field agent.

Just like speed cameras, in this case, technology and data were used as preventative measures. We are now able to better monitor and maintain compliance with all 3rd parties on their loading and documentation. We are now better able to warn them and act against potential delays on the road.

Due to this quick implementation from our team, we are now able to save hundreds of future hours in delays and thousands of potential dollars in fines and are able to deliver a much richer customer experience.
